About Us

National Institute for Disabled Services - Serving our community since 1984

🏛️ Establishment

The organization emerged from the National Committee formed during the 1981 International Year of Disabled Persons, which achieved local, regional, Arab, and international recognition for its foundational efforts.

On May 19, 1984, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Muhammad Al Khalifa, issued Decision No. 2 establishing the National Committee for the Disabled, tasked with developing general rehabilitation policies and proposing legislation.
